NEXT MARKET - 9 December

Our next Market takes place on Ripley Green  from 9am to 1pm.

December's market has a Christmassy feel (as you'd expect):
  • Carols by the children from Ripley Primary
  • Look out for Father Christmas
  • Door wreaths and other seasonal fare
  • Charity Christmas cards
  • Christmas cakes and puddings
Our vegetables are now coming from a new supplier but with a familiar face - see our Stalls page for information about this.

OUR CHARITY SUPPORT
At our last Farmers' Market meeting (yes we meet every month after the market!), we decided to donate our current surplus income to 3 local charities:

FANCY BEING OUR MYSTERY SHOPPER?
Each market one of our regular market visitors chooses a stall as our mystery shopper.  Criteria is good service, friendly faces, well laid-out produce including visible pricing.  We know from experience the best stalls are those enthusiastic stall-holders with a passion for their product.  The lucky stall-holder winner then receives a certificate and a free month's visit to the next market.

LOYALTY CARDS

Don't forget our loyalty card scheme - come and see us for a card and each time you shop with a different stallholder, get them to stamp/sign your card.  Remember to bring us back your full cards to be entered into our quarterly prize draw.  You could win vouchers for £20 or £30 to spend at the market.

OCTOBER NEWS .......... Sally Erhardt, chairman and founder of Ripley Farmers Market was awarded the Pride of Surrey award at the Surrey Life Food and Drink Awards. This is the Award for the person who the judges feel has contributed to Surrey's food scene and enhanced the local community. We are all very proud of Sally and feel it was well deserved.

Sally said: 'I'm very honoured to have been awarded the Pride of Surrey but I certainly couldn't run the market alone so I would like to take the opportunity to thank my fellow volunteers on the Ripley Farmers Market committee for their hard work. Our market is a success thanks to all those who support it and shop there each month. I look forward to continuing to make the market great'

Cookery Demonstrations

Steve Drakes opening weekend for Sorrel Restaurant (Dorking) clashed with our last market, so he postponed his visit to us, but he'll be back.

We were delighted however to welcome back Mike Wall-Palmer from The Anchor to October's market, winners of Surrey Food & Drink Restaurant of the Year award.
